Northern Islands tour

Full day trip to Flat Island in the north of Mauritius

Book for you and your family or friends a seat on Babacool to enjoy an unforgettable day on Flat Island.

The tour:

We meet at 08:00h, starting at 8:20h from the Public Beach of Pereybere.
We leave the lagoon, into the open sea, and pass very close to Coin de Mire.
It takes between one and a half to two hours before we arrive at Flat Island and Gabriel Island. We then anchor in front of Gabriel Island and, after some refreshments, we transfer to Flat Island in a dinghy.
While the crew starts to prepare the BBQ Lunch you have time to swim in the shallow warm water, snorkel over the corals, make a little walk along the beach or just relax.
Lunch is ready at about 12:00h and served on Flat Island or on the boat (depending on the number of passengers).
It includes:
Vegetable salad, rice salad with smoked marlin, bread, grilled fish and chicken, chicken sausages and two deserts, grilled banana and fresh pineapple.
We serve water, soft drinks, beer, wine and punch with the meal and throughout the day.
All food  and drinks are included in the ticket price.
After Lunch you have lots of time to digest as you wish: with swimming and snorkeling or relaxing under the Mauritian sun.
Depending on the tidal conditions we will stay in Flat Island or bring you over to Gabriel Island.
We will depart at about 14-14:30h to be back in Pereybere at about 16:00h.

Things to consider:

Your reservation can be postponed or canceled, even on short notice, due to weather and sea conditions.
All times mentioned above are approximate and depend on the weather and tidal conditions.
Babacool is a sailing boat, but depending on sea and wind conditions it might be necessary to use the engine sometimes.
Snorkeling at Flat Island is a wonderful experience. Consider though that there is a strong current. Therefore some experience in swimming and good snorkeling equipment (available on the boat on demand) is strongly recommended. The Babacool team will help you with their advice and assistance at all times. And please do not step on, touch or break any corals and leave shells in their environment for their well being
Please keep also in mind  that we travel on the open sea. It is likely to have waves of  1 m or higher. If you have trouble with sea sickness, keep the horizon in view or take medication in advance. Make sure you have a safe seat on board or ask for a life jacket, if you have any doubts.
And don't forget to bring sufficient sun protection and a towel.
